The seascapes of coastal Oregon are as diverse as they are beautiful. Wide sandy beaches, rugged headlands, old growth forests, tidal pools, incredible seastacks and mild temperatures make this a year-round paradise. Whenever visiting the area, I have a yearning to shoot from a heightened perspective in an effort to take it all in. It took some persuasion, but eventually I obtained permission to access the cliffs from which this photograph was taken. I was glad to have had that opportunity as safe passage to the area is no longer attainable since erosion has undermined the cliffs.
